Standing with Ukraine

As the war in Ukraine continues, our thoughts are with our colleagues, clients, and their loved ones. The unprovoked invasion has brought terrible suffering to millions of innocent people, and we at Sends cannot stay silent in the face of such injustice.

For many of us, this war feels very close. Our CEO and several team members have Ukrainian roots, and we have watched with sadness as cities we know, streets we have walked, and communities we care about are destroyed. Some of our colleagues have families hiding in shelters, friends have had to flee their homes with almost nothing, and clients have seen businesses they built over years now in ruins.

“This moment demands more than words of sympathy,” says Alona Shevtsova, CEO of Sends. “We have a responsibility to use our resources, our network, and our platform to provide real support to those whose lives have been torn apart by this invasion. Every action we take is not just a business choice, but a moral duty.”

For our Ukrainian clients, we are keeping services running without interruption wherever possible, waiving fees where we can, and helping them maintain business continuity.

We greatly admire the strength and bravery of the Ukrainian people. In the face of aggression, they stand firm for their sovereignty, democracy, and their right to a free future. Their courage inspires us and strengthens our promise to stand with them for as long as it takes.

To our Ukrainian colleagues, clients, and friends: you are not alone. Your fight for freedom is felt across our whole organisation. We see your struggle, we share your pain, and we stand firmly with you.

This war is not only about Ukraine - it is a test of our shared humanity. At Sends, we will meet this test with action, compassion, and lasting support for those who need it most.

If you would like to support humanitarian work in Ukraine, we encourage donations to established relief organisations operating on the ground. Please reach out to our team if you would like advice on how to help.
