Sends at the PAY360 Awards 2026: handing the financial crime prevention award
On 7 October we spent the evening at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House on Park Lane for the PAY360 Awards, run by The Payments Association. There were 21 categories and more than 90 shortlisted organisations. Sends was one of the sponsors.
We chose to back the financial crime prevention initiative category. We are an FCA-authorised Electronic Money Institution, so fraud and money laundering controls are part of our working day, and we wanted to put our name next to the people who do that work well.
The Payments Association announced the shortlist earlier this year: Tunic Pay, AVIEL Intelligence, National Anti-Scam Utility (FNA), Santander UK, and Lloyds Banking Group with Visa. FNA won.
Our CEO, Alona Shevtsova, presented the trophy on stage. “Financial crime prevention is one of the biggest responsibilities we have as a payments industry,” she said. “As technology evolves, so do the risks, and staying ahead requires constant innovation and collaboration. At Sends, we know how important it is to build trust into every part of the payment experience. It was a pleasure to present this award and recognise the work being done to make financial services safer. Congratulations to FNA on this well-deserved recognition.”
The rest of the night was spent with people. We saw partners, met colleagues from other firms, and congratulated winners in the other categories. “It was a pleasure to reconnect with our partners, meet new industry colleagues, and celebrate the achievements of companies moving our sector forward,” Alona said.
Congratulations again to FNA and to the other finalists.
